Why HAR Customers Confidently Refer HAR to Other Companies

HAR Customers Confidently Refer HAR to Other Companies

The Original Customer

In the world of small to mid-sized companies, adhesive is often a crucial component for creating products that hold together effectively. One of our long-term customers, Scott, manages production at a company that specializes in mounting graphic art posters to board stock and corrugated sheets, primarily for retail point-of-purchase (POP) promotions. The quality of these laminations is vital, as they play a key role in attracting consumer attention in a competitive retail environment.

Scott's company faced a significant challenge when their previous supplier, a large international adhesive manufacturer, discontinued a specific type of laminating adhesive they had been using for years. The alternative product they tried was not performing well, resulting in wavy, bumpy, and wrinkled laminations, which was unacceptable for their high-quality standards.

Recognizing this as an opportunity to demonstrate the superior quality of HAR's products, I worked closely with Scott to find a solution. We recommended a specialized adhesive from HAR's product line, which not only met but exceeded the performance of their previous adhesive. This new adhesive allowed Scott to achieve smooth, polished laminations consistently, significantly improving the quality of their products.

Moreover, the advanced high solids technology of our adhesive enabled Scott to use less material, leading to cost savings in both adhesive consumption and application time. This efficient solution proved to be a turning point for Scott's company, solidifying our partnership and trust.

Since then, HAR has been Scott's go-to supplier for all his adhesive needs, including laminating adhesives, hot melt adhesives, and even hot melt equipment. Our ongoing collaboration has been marked by mutual respect and a commitment to innovation and quality.

The Referral

Our relationship with Scott extended beyond direct business dealings, reflecting the trust and satisfaction he felt with HAR's products and services. This trust became evident when Scott referred HAR to one of his strategic partners, Justin, who was venturing into the laminating business.

Justin had recently acquired a new laminator, which came with a generic adhesive that failed to produce the quality results he observed in Scott's products. Recalling Scott's positive experience with HAR, Justin reached out to us for assistance. He mentioned that HAR came "very highly recommended," which set the stage for a new partnership.

Rather than simply providing the same adhesive Scott used, we took a comprehensive approach to understand Justin's specific needs. I personally visited his facility to evaluate his equipment and production requirements. This hands-on approach allowed us to offer a tailored solution that addressed his immediate concerns and opened the door for further assistance with other adhesive-related needs.

The Appreciation

At HAR, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality products. Every order we fulfill is not just a transaction but a testament to the trust our customers place in us. Referrals, like the one from Scott to Justin, are particularly gratifying as they signify a deep level of satisfaction and confidence in our solutions. They are a powerful endorsement of our commitment to going above and beyond for our customers, ensuring that we meet and exceed their expectations every step of the way.

I am a traditionally trained designer who still likes to sketch, draw and brainstorm on a whiteboard.

Having learned the skill of design, layout and print before computers did all of the work gives me the ability to get my concepts on paper and getting feedback from my team. The best projects are the ones that are built in the conference room beforehand with creative and constructive brainstorming sessions. My ability to lead those meetings and understand the business of design is exactly what gives me a leg up on most of my peers.
